Through it’s subsidiary Windkraft Schonach GmbH, RES has acquired the rights to develop the “potentially largest” wind farm in the southern Black Forest.

The Windpark Wasen / Hohe Stückbäume was previously developed by WPD. RES is planning up to 7 wind turbines following positive results from wind measurments.

Currently, species conservation studies are being carried out in preparation for the project.

“We are delighted as a locally based company to be able to develop one of the potentially largest wind parks in the Black Forest. As a part of the RES Group, we are convinced that we can economically implement wind parks in Baden-Württemberg, also against the backdrop of the calls for tenders.” said Gerhard Kienzler, Managing Director of WKS.

“Our optimism is no accident, “says Dr. Finzel, Managing Director RES Deutschland GmbH, “RES has already won tenders in Great Britain and Turkey, which can be offered on the market without subsidies, and has set itself the goal of implementing wind parks in the future without financial support. The first grant-free RES projects in the UK are already being implemented in 2018/19. “
