Siemens Gamesa has signed a framework agreement with VenSol Neue Energien for up to 30 turbines, it was announced today.
The turbines involved are SWT-DD-142 machines, with 69 meter blade span and nominal power of 3.5-3.9 MW each.
Siemens Gamesa states these are optimal for onshore low wind conditions.

VenSol director Christian Böhm said: “With this framework agreement we ensure our access to one of the most efficient onshore wind turbines in the market.”
The projects will be located in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Thuringia, and VenSol has stated the turbines will be used both for their own projects, and those of smaller developers.
