Algebris Investments, through its Algebris Green Transition Fund, has completed the acquisition of 100% of Vector Renewables from Nadara, adding the renewable energy technical advisory and asset management specialist to its portfolio.
Founded in 2005, Vector provides technical advisory, legal advisory and asset management services across the renewable energy project lifecycle, covering solar, wind, energy storage and hybrid projects. The company operates across Europe, Asia and Latin America and has worked on projects in more than 60 countries.
Vector has supported more than 275 GW of projects as technical adviser, provided specialised legal advisory services on more than 30 GW and currently manages more than 6 GW of renewable energy assets.
The company also operates NUO, a cloud-based digital platform for renewable energy asset management. The platform combines automation, data analytics and real-time monitoring to support the technical and financial optimisation of renewable assets.
For Algebris, the acquisition expands its presence in the energy transition infrastructure and technology market. The investment fund said it intends to support Vector’s management team in expanding the business internationally and developing its capabilities in emerging technologies, including battery energy storage systems and hybrid projects.
“Vector has built an outstanding global platform with deep expertise in renewable energy and significant momentum to pioneer new technologies like BESS and hybrid systems. As a standalone company, Vector is now uniquely positioned to offer independent support to clients worldwide,” said Matteo Tarchi, Senior Partner at Algebris Green Transition Fund.
Francesco Becchelli, Senior Partner at the fund, said Algebris sees scope to expand Vector’s specialised services and accelerate its growth across existing and new markets.
For Vector, the transaction comes as the company marks its 20th anniversary. CEO Marco Guarneroli said the new ownership would support the company’s expansion into emerging technologies and allow it to increase the value it provides to clients globally.
The Algebris Green Transition Fund was advised by EY on financial and tax due diligence, Ashurst Perkins Coie on legal matters and BIP Group on technology and software.
