The Voice of Renewables presents our monthly global roundup of energy storage deals announced or closed in August 2026. Covering major PPAs and offtake agreements alongside financing, M&A, refinancings, bonds, tax equity and joint ventures, this is a concise view of the transactions driving energy storage investment and development around the world.
PPAs
Apex Clean Energy signed a power purchase agreement with Meta for 144 MW of additional Texas (ERCOT) solar capacity, extending an existing partnership that already includes Apex’s 195 MW Angelo Solar project and now totals over 1 GW combined. Signals continued hyperscaler appetite for Texas solar to feed data-centre load growth.
