Clifford Chance advised Grenergy on solar and BESS projects in Chile

Clifford Chance has advised Grenergy on the US $270 million senior secured green bridge financing for the development of a 77 MWp operational solar photovoltaic project and the deployment of a 3.5 GWh battery energy storage system, both located in Chile

The transaction forms part of the sixth phase of the Oasis de Atacama project and represents a significant step in the development of hybrid renewable energy generation and storage solutions in the region.

The Clifford Chance team advising on the transaction was led by Global Financial Markets partner José Guardo, counsel Eduardo Sánchez, senior associate Ángel Muñoz, associate Alejandro Cubillo, and junior associate Ana De la Torre.
