Electromontaj is proud to announce that it has won the tender for the construction of the 400 kV Gădălin–Suceava overhead power line, a strategic project of national significance for Romania that will strengthen and modernise the country’s electricity transmission network.
Spanning approximately 260 kilometres, the high-voltage line will traverse the Eastern Carpathian Mountains, connecting 40 localities across the counties of Cluj, Bistrița-Năsăud, and Suceava.
Project Overview
The project includes:
- Installation of 998 high-voltage pylons;
- Mounting of three phase conductors and two protective conductors;
- Expansion of the 400 kV Gădălin and Suceava substations.
Strategic Importance
This new overhead power line plays a major strategic role, as it will complete the national 400 kV ring of Romania’s Electric Transmission Network, making a substantial contribution to
enhancing the safety and flexibility of the National Energy System,
reducing transmission losses across the network, and
ensuring a reliable and sustainable electricity supply for consumers.
Winning this tender represents yet another recognition of Electromontaj’s expertise and capabilities in delivering complex energy infrastructure projects, reinforcing its position as a leader in energy construction in Romania.
Towards the Capital Market
In parallel, the company is taking a significant step towards the capital market. Between 3–16 October 2025, the EM Group, which includes Electromontaj, will launch a public offering of shares, brokered by TradeVille.
