With the Dainbach Wind Farm, EnBW has expanded its commitment to renewable energy in the Main-Tauber district. Four modern wind turbines will now feed climate-friendly electricity into the grid. The wind farm was officially commissioned during an inauguration ceremony on Friday, 22 May, attended by representatives from politics, public administration and the local community.
16.8 Megawatts of Capacity – Electricity for Around 10,000 Households
The Dainbach Wind Farm makes an important contribution to supplying the region with renewable electricity. With a total installed capacity of around 16.8 megawatts, the four turbines will generate approximately 30 million kilowatt-hours of electricity each year – enough to meet the needs of around 10,000 households while saving approximately 20,000 tonnes of CO₂.

At the event, Fabian Maisch, Project Manager for Onshore Wind at EnBW, welcomed the guests and reflected on the project’s development. “The Dainbach Wind Farm is an example of how wind energy projects can be successfully implemented at local level: with the support of the community, careful environmental assessments and sustainable compensatory measures. Since January 2025, it has already been supplying green electricity to 10,000 households,” said Maisch. Florian Busch, First State Official at the Main-Tauber District Office, then addressed the audience. The wind farm was officially opened with the symbolic commissioning of the turbines and the presentation of model wind turbines.
